Between Obama and American politics
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

I have waited patiently to logically observe the turn of event in the preparation for the forth-coming presidential election in America. More than ever before, the attention of the whole world would be turned towards America for the singular reason that a complete African is deeply involved in the much coveted race for the hot seat of the white house. it is also most interesting because a lot of the observers are waiting to see America practice what they preach in terms of egalitarianism, equal rights, freedom, and all other virtues they have been advocating to the rest of the world. The American democracy has become a sort of model to every other part of the world where democracy has not fully matured and they have used this to perform a kind of moralising function on the rest of the world. However, the perfection in this type of democracy failed to leave out errors such as the one experienced in the case of Bush's presidential election victory whereby the popular and majority opinion were simply traded on the platter of the 'electoral college joker'. If my fear goes along with yours, then is very reasonable to reason that the what-will-be of the forth-coming election is lying between the American politics and Obama.

Between Obama and American politics
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

In recent time, the American-grown politics has become a model to the world and the constituent nation members. Many citizens of other countries have got one beautiful thing or the other to say about the uniqueness of the type of democacy practised in the United states ofAmerican for the well-orchestrated human face approach to issues bordering on freedom and rights of whoever finds him/herself in God's own country. This has bestowed on the US a kind of moralising function on other nations whose democracy is still undergoing a formation process. However, there is a strong indication that the so-called 'perfect democracy' has it own misgivings which have often been played out through different avenues. The 'electoral College' case of a thing that gave Bush the key to the white house as against the popular opinion is just one of this issues. Whether Obama would make the white house or not is purely in the hands of the principal players in the American politics and not in the hands of the majority against the publicly-held assumptions. The supporters of Obama should really watch out for this factors that is between Obama and American politics.

The Launch of chaos in Parkistan
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

Another polical assasination too many! This is my comment on the death of Benazir Bhutto. However, it marked the begining of a revolution that the maximum rulers of the land should gear up for as the wish of the people could only be subverted but for a period of time. More than ever, the confrontations that would be put up will be unprecedented and the situation will get chaotic every passing day -pre and post election.
The lost of this rare personality in person of Bhutto should be regarded as calamitous in the world politics. this has also revealed more hipocisy on the part of the western world who are swift at lamenting the lost of invaluable individuals such as Benazir bhutto but who fail to provide the necessary protection and support while the subject was still living and struglling. one only hopes that more pragmatic approaches are evolved in issues like this so that human casualities in political strifes are reduced tro the very minimum

Anti- Corruption Fight 2
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

Nobody should mistake the current farcical drama under the an ti-corruption fight label for genuine war on an ti-corruption. The so called fight lacks credibility as a number of questions raised find no answers even at the expense of its acceptability. A sincere war waged at such a monsrous cankerworm shouldnt be personality-selective and status-biased such as the one we see in Nigeria. it takes a puritan to successfully laun ch and sustain such a struggle but unfortunately, this was not the case as the Nigerian anti-corruption war was midwifed by a class of individuals whose curruption records could not be broken by a combinadtion of rthe young, oncoming and un born generations put together!
Nothing much is to be expected dfrom the funny comedy as it is known that the ninety percent of the evil that befalls the Nigerian nation is as a result of the activities of these expired beings who refuse to leave the stage of governance since the amalgamation anf formalisation ofe the incongrous en tities known as Nigeria.
Little wonder why the sacred but corrupt ones have not been brought to book despite the established cases and obvious facts against them. This helps in lending a hand to the fact that the anti-corruption agencies in Nigeria are just acting according to the dictates of a master who determines who is arrested, tried, or jailed at any point in time. The jail terms confered on the so prosecuted ones are so ridiculous that it has now become fashionable to embezzle, be slammed with a million count charge, get arrested, put up dramas at the court, get celebrated by the media, all in anticipation of a heroic welcome at home since you will be released a few months into the trial!

African Leaders and the Spirit of Seatightism
Translations available in: English (original) | French | Spanish | Italian | German | Portuguese | Swedish | Russian | Dutch | Arabic

Leadership is a honour rather than a title! It is an exalted position of responsibility that requires selfless service to the subject. It is better earned than demanded, bestowed than claimed and confered than hijacked. We have seen examples of leadership in different lands the world over with enviable track records just as we have seen the exaclt opposite. In African counctries, the so called leaders lack the total understanding of what it takes to be a leader! Most of them have no ideology on which they expect the followership train to trail. They see positions of authourity as another avenue to better their lots rather than to impact on lives for whom they swear to serve. They perpetrate so much attrocities while in the position of authority and become so afraid to leaf at the expiration of their tenure.
This explains while they would always seek second, third, forth, fifth, ... term in office and would do anything to make sure that the wishes of the people are subverted as long as it guarantees them the chances of remaining in position of power. Most of the african countries who are in crisis now are as a result of the seattightism spirit of one leader or the other. The list is endless from Kenya to Zimbabwe, we have stories on the failure of these leaders in their attempt to stay put.
